I am one of the authors of the award-winning paper on the Social Media Honeycomb. As of December 31st 2016 this work was the most highly Google Scholar cited paper across all business, management, and economic journals in the last five year period. The same paper is also listed by Ex Libris as one of the most viewed research articles in 2012. The ranking is based on publications across all disciplines (science to arts), and papers published in the last 70 years.
I earned my Doctorate in industrial engineering from the University of Sheffield, completing it in less than three years. I joined Simon Fraser University as a Canada Research Chair from the University of Warwick. I was also a Fulbright Scholar at the Georgia Institute of Technology studying the impacts of university innovation on local and national economies. I have more than 90 publications in leading management and engineering journals including: Academy of Management Review, Industry and Corporate Change, California Management Review, Technovation, Journal of Product Innovation Management, and Business Horizons. His work has also featured in the Economist, the Globe and Mail, Business Insider and many other media outlets.
As an award-winning teacher, I have taught at some of the leading business and engineering schools. I am also invited to speak at industry and academic events across the world. Prior to becoming an academic, I worked as an engineer and manager in the electronics manufacturing and metals processing industries.
